Since 1936 the Rhode Island Revolver and Rifle Association has been proud to be the Ocean State's premier competitive shooting organization.
The RIRRA's shooting programs have been the incubator for Ocean State marksmen to compete, and win, at the international, national, and regional level. Members of the RIRRA have participated internationally as members of the United States' Maccabiah, Roberts, Pershing, Dewar, Randle, and Drew Trophy Match Teams. Rhode Island Revolver and Rifle Association members have won national championships in high power and smallbore rifle, earned Collegiate All American honors, and NRA and Civilian Marksmanship Program Distinguished status in all three shooting disciplines. Regional and state championship medallions won by RIRRA members are counted in the hundreds.
To achieve international and national prominence one must train and compete long and hard. To that end the RIRRA sponsors, and conducts, adult and junior leagues in the smallbore, pistol and high power disciplines as well as National Rifle Association Sectionals, Regionals, and statewide registered tournaments that allow Rhode Islanders to compete in indoor National Championships and measure themselves against the best in the nation.
