The following bills will be heard on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Room 101
H5119-This bill will change felony offenses to misdemeanor offenses for domestic violence cases under 12-29-2. In which case you will lose your firearms for just a misdemeanor offense.
This bill will also place further restrictions on traveling with all firearms and impose further penalties in doing so in the State of RI.

H5655-This bill will again change felony to misdemeanor. If an individual has been convicted in this state or elsewhere that involves the use of or attempted use of force, or the threatened use of a firearm, against a family or household member as defined in 12-29-2, including without limitation as an offense under 12-29-2 punishable as a misdemeanor offense under 12-29-5. In essence it is all about taking your firearms for a misdemeanor offense.
H5872-This bill will make a felony a petty misdemeanor under 12-29-2.
