Published 04/12/2015

These following bills will be heard on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in Room 101:

H5123-This bill has once again been introduced.  This act would require all minors in possession of a firearm, with or without a permit, be in the presence of a parent of guardian or supervising adult at all times.  This would make it illegal for a minor to go hunting by him or herself.
We oppose this bill.

H5190-A $40 fee shall be charged and shall be paid for each license or permit to the licensing authority issuing it.  Uniformity throughout the State.
We support this bill.

H5368-This bill would delete unnecessary language with regard to the destruction of application records for the purchase of a rifle or shotgun, if an applicant is not otherwise disqualified under any other applicable provision of the general laws.
We support this bill.

H5861-This bill will exclude retired police, security guards and legal CCW holders from going on school grounds with their concealed firearm.
We oppose this bill.

H5868-This bill would criminalize the mere possession of a firearm by a minor.
We oppose this bill.
